Questions

Cenote diving certification?
Open Water Certification minimum for Dos Ojos cavern dives. Most outfitters offer 3-day PADI certification on-site for $400-500. Day-only snorkeling at the cenotes runs $30-50, no certification needed.
Best month?
October-April. November-March is the dry sweet spot. Avoid June-September (hurricane season + sargassum seaweed on beaches).
Hartwood reservations?
Walk-up only — the kitchen takes names starting at 3 p.m., drop the bachelor's name and confirm at 7. Get there 6:30 to claim the right spot at the bar before sunset.
