Blue Lagoon vs Sky Lagoon?
Blue Lagoon is the iconic original — 45 minutes from KEF airport, busier, milky-blue silica water, in-water bar. Sky Lagoon is closer to Reykjavik — modern infinity edge over the Atlantic, the seven-step ritual is the program. The crew that wants both does Blue Lagoon on arrival or departure (luggage storage) and Sky Lagoon on a downtown evening.
Northern Lights timing?
September-April, peak visibility December-February. The bachelor weekend is summer or winter — pick by what the bachelor wants more (midnight sun summer or aurora hunt winter).
Drive yourself or guided?
4WD rental and self-drive Golden Circle is the move ($150-200/day for the SUV). Roads are good in summer, tricky December-March (book studded tires).
