Questions

Is the black gate legal to visit?
Yes, up to the checkpoint line. Cross it and federal security detains you. Photograph the warning signs, not past them.
Can you actually see Area 51?
Tikaboo Peak is the only legal overlook — 26 miles of rough road and a 5-mile hike. Bring binoculars and don't expect much detail.
Is Rachel a real town?
Yes — population around 50. One bar-restaurant-motel (Little A'Le'Inn) and one post office. Gas up in Alamo before you head out.
