Questions

Liveaboard vs land-based?
Liveaboard ($3-5k/person 3-5 night) puts the crew on the water for the entire trip. Land-based ($2-3k/person + hotel) lets the crew sleep on shore but requires daily boat transfers (3+ hours).
Striped marlin season?
October-November peak. The baitballs (sardines aggregating, marlins attacking) happen daily for 6-8 weeks. Snorkeling alongside is the photo of the bachelor's life.
Whale shark vs striped marlin?
Whale shark season is Oct-Apr in the Sea of Cortez. Magdalena Bay is best for marlin. Different bays, different trip — the bachelor crew picks by season.
