Brandy Old Fashioned + supper club is the Wisconsin canon. Toby's Supper Club on the Southside still hand-muddles with Korbel and 7-Up the way the boomers wrote it. Tornado Club on State Street runs Rat Pack steakhouse energy. The Old Fashioned downtown does 50 Wisconsin beers on tap with a Friday fish fry that's the city's best. Brat Fest at Willow Island over Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25, 2026) is the world's largest — 160,000+ brats grilled across the four days. Memorial Union Terrace lake-side for sunset beers. Sleep at the Loews Madison or the Sheraton near Alliant Energy Center. Madison (MSN) is direct from most hubs.

Brat Fest dates?
Memorial Day weekend annually — 2026 is May 22-25 (verify at bratfest.com closer to date). Free admission, free parking, the move is to plan around it if traveling that weekend.
Brandy Old Fashioned — sweet or sour?
Sweet by default in Wisconsin (muddled with 7-Up). Sour version exists (sour mix). Always Korbel brandy, never bourbon — the locals will side-eye.
Friday fish fry?
Wisconsin tradition — every supper club runs one. The Old Fashioned, Smoky's Club, Tornado Club all do strong versions. Beer-battered cod is the canonical pick.
