Walk the trio in a single afternoon — the densest BBQ pilgrimage in America. Plum Creek Brewing for the post-meat cleanse. Nearby Luling Watermelon Thump (late June) if the dates align. Sleep at the Best Western or the Lockhart Inn, both walkable to the joints. Austin (AUS) is the 35-minute drive.

Yes if you portion-control. The crew approach: half-pound at each joint, share, alternate sausage / brisket / ribs. Walk between for the digestive break.

Kreuz famously runs no sauce — meat speaks for itself. Smitty's and Black's offer sauce on the side. The local move is no sauce, salt only, white bread.
Best day of the week?
Tuesday-Thursday for shorter lines. Saturday lunch is a 90-minute wait at Smitty's.
