Sintra day trip?
30 min by train from Rossio Station ($5-10 round trip). Pena Palace + Quinta da Regaleira are the main stops. Allow a full day; rent a tuk-tuk in Sintra for inter-site transport ($30-50/day).
Fado experience?
Casa de Linhares + Clube de Fado are the institutions in Alfama. Dinner-show 8-11 p.m., €40-80 all-in. Reserve 1-2 weeks ahead for the Friday-Saturday slots.
