Cody Nite Rodeo + Buffalo Bill Weekend — Cody, WY

Cody Nite Rodeo runs nightly June through August — bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, the works for $25/seat in an open-air arena Buffalo Bill himself laid out. Day-one rodeo, dinner at the Irma Hotel (Bill's 1902 lobby with the carved cherry-wood bar gifted by Queen Victoria). Day two: Buffalo Bill Center of the West — 7,000+ firearms in the Cody Firearms Museum, plus the Plains Indian Museum and the Buffalo Bill Museum. Drive the Sunlight Basin / Beartooth Highway loop for a half-day scenic. Day three is Yellowstone east-side via the Sylvan Pass entrance for the bachelor crew that wants the geothermal show. Sleep at the Irma or Buffalo Bill Cabin Village. Cody (COD) is the regional fly; Billings (BIL) is the larger gateway, 1.5 hours.

Cody Nite Rodeo schedule?
Nightly June 1 through August 31, 8 p.m. start. $25-30/seat. Cody Stampede (real PRCA event) runs July 1-4 and is the marquee — premium pricing.
Sylvan Pass to Yellowstone?
East entrance, 1.5 hours from Cody. Closed October-May for snow. Old Faithful is 90 minutes inside the park; allow a full day for the round trip.
Beartooth Highway worth it?
Yes — but it's a half-day commitment. 68 miles, opens late May or early June (snow), closes mid-October. Switchback drive to 10,947 feet. Bring a jacket; it's cold at the top.
