What's the USS Yorktown sleepaboard experience like?
You bunk in restored officer staterooms aboard the decommissioned Essex-class carrier, eat breakfast in the crew's galley, and have full access to the flight deck and hangar bay at night. It's a working museum with real naval history.
Do we need tickets for Fort Sumter in advance?
Book ferry tickets through Fort Sumter Tours at least 48 hours ahead; spring and fall fill up fast. The 2.5-hour tour includes the boat ride and ranger-led interpretation on the island.
Is there a dress code for the nicer restaurants?
FIG and The Ordinary are smart-casual; no athletic wear or flip-flops. Husk and Leon's are relaxed. Patriots Point has no restrictions.
