Great White shark cage diving in Gansbaai (90 minutes east of Cape Town, $200-400/person, 4 a.m. departure for the morning slot — best visibility). Day two: Stellenbosch wine route — Tokara, Grande Provence, Thelema (book a driver, taste 4-5 estates, the chenin blanc and pinotage are the regional specialties). Day three: Robben Island prison tour (Mandela's cell, ferry from V&A Waterfront), Table Mountain cableway at sunset. Sleep at the Twelve Apostles Hotel (Atlantic-side cliff lodge) or the Silo Hotel (V&A Waterfront, Heatherwick design). Cape Town (CPT) is the gateway.

Year-round but May-September is peak (Great Whites + cooler water visibility). 4 a.m. departures + 3-hour drive each way. Apex Predators or White Shark Diving Co. are the published operators.
Robben Island tour?
$30-50/person, 3.5 hours total (45-min ferry each way + 90-min island tour). Tour led by ex-political prisoner. Book online 7-14 days ahead — the limited daily slots fill.
Stellenbosch driver?
Self-drive after wine tasting is illegal in South Africa (zero-tolerance + serious enforcement). Hire a wine-tour driver service ($150-250/person for 5-estate day, includes pickups + drop-off).
